Content shared through movies, music, and television is viewed by millions of us and it’s only natural that it affects how we think and process the world around us. Influence only seems to be more crucial during the learning process in children. Keep reading to find out more!
Let’s begin with talking about things specific to our own country! Being as entwined with cinema as the rest of the country, it’s safe to say that Bollywood is not all melodrama and musicals. Although dramatized, Bollywood movies usually come with a moral and a lesson in ethics that should drive people towards standing up for what they believe is the right thing to do. This can lead to a better sense of determination and strong willpower. Moreover, as the years pass by, Bollywood is becoming a more accepting industry. Films about minorities are being made and minorities are being cast for the same. May it be through movies, children gain a sense of equality and acceptance. They also begin to realize how diverse our population is and the fact that everyone deserves to be treated the same.
It is also important for children to listen to the right kind of music. The kind of music one listens to talks a great deal about their personality. Listening to music, in general, helps children take some weight off their shoulders and relax. It can also be used as an outlet for emotion-angry metal or a soothed harp. Art is a very crucial part of children’s development and without it, they may grow to have a temper, be disorganized, lose their calm, or be engulfed by stress. Creating or listening to music may be a blessing in disguise.
Although academics are sure to get a child far in their lives, media serves a different, yet equally important purpose. Music and cinema expose a child to the world around them and gives them a sense of morals and equality.
