Let's teach the younger generation “the art of affirmations.” Resolutions are reduced to being simple traditions when in reality, they are powerful and effective ways to bring thoughts to life. In the wake of a new year, let’s teach the importance of setting goals.

The outbreak of the pandemic has also reminded us the importance of keeping our priorities in line. This is why welcoming 2022 with healthy resolutions is ultimately very important for children.

I will do something new

Simple yet the most important thought to nurture in young minds. Being open to newness from a young age opens doors to versatility and an anxiety-free mindset. Start with small yet effective new practices to ease your minds into a more steady transformation.

I will maintain a healthy mind & body

Eat, sleep and consume healthy food to maintain a healthy body and mind. Make a diet chart and maintain a mental health check routine, the essentials for a stable and healthy lifestyle. Add more greens and make sure you get plenty of fresh air everyday.

After all, if what goes in is good, your whole life would be in a healthy place of growth and beauty!

I will learn from everywhere

Learning doesn’t limit to your classroom or your home. Information is available everywhere. Promise yourself to learn and grow every time you get the opportunity. Start by exploring your hobbies as it’s an easy way to gather information and grow. Then slowly transition into exploring uncharted territories — like joining a club, learning a new language, etc.

I will make my bed everyday

It might seem like a simple habit, but it goes a long way when it comes to being disciplined. Make your bed, spruce up your space with your favourite posters, toys, and books. Make your space warm and inviting. Keep up with the simple habit to maintain equilibrium.

I will spend more time with my family

Sometimes even though we are under the same roof, we tend to be miles away from our loved ones. Make sure you spend time with your loved ones and maintain a healthy relationship with them. Promise yourself you’ll try to as much as you can to communicate and do your favourite things, while involving your loved ones too.

I will be kind to myself

Being kind to yourself is key to achieving greater goals. Start by being gentle with yourself. If you slip in maintaining your resolutions, start over. Never give up because of temporary let downs. Reaffirm your inner voice that you will get back up and not give up on your goals.
