“Strength doesn’t come from physical capacity it comes from an indomitable will”
-Mahatma Gandhi
Times are surreal. The New Normal has sunk into our lives more than we anticipated. With the overwhelming changes humanity is facing, we are reminded everyday it takes individualistic responsibility to face the alternate life we are expected to live.
With the surge of the second wave posing a threat to happy families across the globe, it is important to remember that every safety measure taken as an individual is important to help sustain humanity and save lives.
Fun City is pro safety and we implore you to take some simple measures that can be taken at home or in general while you head out on errands to keep yourselves and your loved ones safe!
MASK OR NOTHING
If you are stepping out, remember to mask up. No exceptions should be made to this rule as it not only prevents further transmission, but it protects you from inhaling or ingesting the virus through your nasal passage or through your mouth. Don’t forget to keep your masks clean! If you are using reusable masks, make sure you dispose them after appropriate usage.
6 FEET APART
We are in this together. And to fight the crisis together, we need to be apart, 6 feet or more to be precise. Let’s maintain social distancing and avoid contact unless it’s absolutely necessary and keep the risk level to the minimum.
Remember: Most people are asymptomatic and only show signs when it is too late. Always be wary of whom you are in contact with and sanitise after every contact.
GETTING SHOTS IS OUR ONLY SHOT
Let’s not take this vital step lightly. Get yourself and your family vaccinated and avoid any delay. Once you have been vaccinated, the risk levels drop drastically.
Remember: The sooner we get vaccinated collectively, the sooner we can go back to living our lives!
NO VENTILATION IS A BAD SIGN
Do not let the air stagnate. Areas that offer no fresh air and has no ventilation is best to be avoided. Keep the doors and windows open if you are indoors and if possible, add some houseplants to ensure good oxygen flow. Afterall, a splash of green will add to your décor!
WASH, WASH & THEN WASH YOUR HANDS AGAIN
Never stop cleaning yourself and sanitising your surroundings. When do you need to adopt the practice?
· Before eating or preparing food
· Before touching your face
· After using the restroom
· After leaving a public place
· After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
· After handling your mask
· After changing a diaper
· After caring for someone sick
· After touching animals or pets
MONITOR YOUR VITALS
Keep a track of your body and health every day. Make sure you keep an eye out for any symptoms and get yourself tested in the very beginning. Monitor your temperature regularly too.
Apart from physical distancing, sanitisation and all the health precautions, learn to keep your mind just as healthy. Go easy on yourself and remember to love yourself and those around you. The best way to fight the pandemic is with a sound mind as well.
Spread love, not the virus!
